Who can apply through International Admissions as a non-immigrant student?

A student is considered Non-immigrant for 鈥渁dmission鈥 purposes if they:

  • Hold a valid non-immigrant visa/status in the USA, such as F-2, E-2, H1B, J-2, L-2, etc.
  • Is 鈥渦ndocumented鈥 with no immigration status, or under the Temporary Protected Status
  • Is a 鈥減ending permanent resident鈥 (application for permanent resident status to USCIS has been submitted but has not yet been adjudicated)

If you currently have a visa of non-immigrant status (such as B2, C, D, etc.) that does not allow for full-or part-time study, you cannot take classes at 黑料福利网 Community College. In this case, you must travel outside of the U S and apply for an F-1 visa or if you choose to stay in the US you must apply for a Change of Status with USCIS before starting your studies. You should contact an admission鈥檚 International Representative to set up an appointment as soon as you know that you want to change your status. Steps to Admission:

  2. All supporting documents must be received at least one month before the new semester start date at 黑料福利网 Community College.

Attach photocopies of your passport pages, your I-94 (arrival/departure document) and/ or other documents concerning your current immigration status in the PDF format. Use your 鈥渇irst name鈥, 鈥渓ast name鈥 and 鈥淣on-immigrant鈥 in the subject line to [email protected] for faster processing.

Please allow five business days for processing after a complete application and supporting documentation are submitted for an admission decision.

Steps to enrollment

  1. Take the Placement Test and/or Submit Test Scores

    The placement test determines the appropriate course level placement for first term student. You may be exempt from taking some or all sections of the test if you have qualifying ACT, SAT, or CLEP scores. Further details on Placement Testing can be found here.

    Please review the on line college catalog for additional requirements for acceptance to some programs of study. Based on placement test results, students may be required to take skill-building courses prior to enrollment in credit bearing program courses.

  2. Foreign Transcript Evaluation

    Students who wish to receive transfer credit from universities and colleges outside of the United States must first have the international transcripts evaluated by a recognized member of the .

  3. Reserve your space for Orientation ()

    New students are required to attend orientation, where new students are assisted in the registration process. We offer a variety of options to orient you to MCC and help you get off to a successful start. Students who attend orientation EARLY typically have more accessibility and option when registering for courses.

  4. Financial Aid information

    International students are not eligible for any federal government financial aid program (i.e. Pell Grants, student loans, Federal Work Study). However, you are encouraged to apply for scholarship and College-work-study employment opportunities on campus.
