  • Student Payment Policy

    • 黑料福利网 Community College requires students to secure a payment option of their choice at time of registration. Failure to properly acquire a payment option will result in the student鈥檚 classes being dropped.

  • Refunds of Institutional Charges

    • The date on which the Registrar鈥檚 Office receives and signs the withdrawal request will be the official date of withdrawal and will determine the amount of any adjustment of tuition, fees and financial aid after classes have begun. All refunds will first be applied to any indebtedness which you may have with the College.

  • General Academic Information/Withdrawal Policy

    • Students who withdraw from college are recommended to see a counselor in the Counseling Center, PCC2030.
    • Dropping a class during the semester is also referred to as Withdrawal from a course. This is the responsibility of the student. A student may withdraw from a class at any time prior to the 90% point of the semester or session. A withdrawal before the 鈥淒ate of Record鈥 means there is no record of enrollment. A withdrawal after the 鈥淒ate of Record鈥 but before the last week of the semester means a 鈥淲鈥 grade. A "W" grade will be listed on the student鈥檚 grade report/transcript if the withdrawal occurs after the Date of Record as listed on the Academic/Registration Calendar.
    • To be eligible for a tuition refund classes must be dropped within the tuition refund dates, which are listed in the Academic/Registration Calendar.

    • Financial Aid (Title IV funding: Pell Grant, Direct Loans, etc) will pay for any Associates, Certificate, or Transferable program. It does not, however, pay for Credit by Exam, Undecided or Alternative Programs.

    • Title IV aid that has been received during a semester will be recalculated to determine how much has been earned if a student has: officially withdrawn from all courses within a semester, or failed all 1st half courses and withdrew from all late start or 2nd half courses, or received failing grades in all the courses they are enrolled within a semester, or has ceased attendance in all courses.

    • Students who request Direct Loan funding are required to complete the entrance counseling via studentloans.gov website. The counseling provides comprehensive information on the terms and conditions of the loan and the borrower鈥檚 responsibilities. MCC notifies students about completing exit counseling once they have dropped below half-time enrollment, withdrawn, or have graduated. Exit counseling helps students understand their rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower.

    • At 黑料福利网 Community College the only thing more important than our students鈥 education is their safety. Our public safety has officers on patrol 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

    • The Department of Public Safety is responsible for security and emergency response at 黑料福利网 Community College. Staffing by sworn police officers with full powers of arrest is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Officers patrol the main campus, the four extension centers and the area encompassing a one mile radius around the main campus, including the Flint Cultural Center and Kearsley Park. The Department of Public Safety also employs non-certified and student Public Safety Officers. These officers have the same duties and responsibilities; however, they do not have the power of arrest.

    • Although 黑料福利网 Community College does not have a universal vaccination requirement of all students, the National Center for Disease Control recommends that all adults comply with their vaccination schedule recommendations.


Athletic Program Participation Rates and Financial Support

    • The athletic program at 黑料福利网 Community College provides the only intercollegiate sports activity in Genesee County. The Bears of MCC field competitive teams for men and women. 黑料福利网 sports currently include men's basketball, baseball, cross-country and golf; as well as women's basketball, cross-country, softball, and volleyball.
